App Readiness 6.0: Simplified Packaging, AI Automation, PSADT Support

Today, application packaging is not just about creating packages. It’s about doing it faster, more consistently, and at scale, without increasing complexity. With App Readiness 6.0, we’ve taken a significant step forward in simplifying that challenge while expanding what teams can automate and standardize.

A Completely Reimagined Experience

App Readiness 6.0 introduces a fundamentally redesigned user interface and user experience that changes how you interact with the product from day one. The focus has been clear: remove clutter, simplify workflows, and make every action more intuitive.

Navigation is now smoother, views are cleaner, and the overall experience is more structured. Whether you are importing applications from Juriba KB, automating packaging and testing, taking manual actions, or reviewing results, the product now feels easier to use and faster to move through. The redesigned dashboard brings meaningful visibility into your environment, helping you quickly understand application status, packaging progress, and testing outcomes without unnecessary noise.

This is more than a visual refresh. It’s a shift toward a more usable, scalable experience that reduces effort across everyday tasks.

The transformation is best experienced visually, so here's a quick walkthrough of the new interface in action.

Expanding Automation with Juriba AI-Driven Repackaging

Automation has always been a key goal, but not all applications are easy to automate. With enhancements to Juriba AI-driven repackaging, App Readiness now provides greater control over how installations are handled during automation.

Instead of relying on default installation behavior, you can define installation preferences upfront (such as shortcuts, update settings, or installation context), and Juriba AI will follow these configurations during execution. This makes it possible to bring more complex and traditionally manual applications into automated workflows, increasing overall automation coverage without losing control over how applications are installed. With these improvements, it is now possible to automate a more customized package for most applications than was previously possible, relying upon vendor command-line installation support.

As PSADT continues to be widely adopted as a packaging standard, App Readiness 6.0 significantly strengthens its support across the packaging lifecycle.

PSADT packages are now easier to identify, manage, and standardize. Whether you are bringing in existing packages by manual uploads or importing from MECM, transitioning from custom PowerShell scripts, or converting other package types, the process is more streamlined and aligned with real-world practices. Enhancements around uninstall handling (through intelligent suggestions and automated discovery during testing) help ensure packages are more complete and ready for deployment with less manual effort.

Quality Review and UAT actions are now also available for PSADT packages, enabling teams to apply the same validation and approval processes used across other package types.

We are also continuing to invest in improving how PSADT packages can be customized, including upcoming capabilities for pre- and post-action script editing. You can explore a preview of this capability in this interactive demo.

These improvements make it easier to adopt and scale PSADT as a consistent packaging approach across your organization. Watch this space for even more PSADT improvements coming soon.

Improved Reliability in Packaging and Testing

App Readiness 6.0 introduces targeted improvements that strengthen the reliability and consistency of core workflows. Enhanced file system monitoring now captures empty files and folders during repackaging, resulting in a more accurate representation of application behavior during conversion.

Smoke testing has also been enhanced to improve the identification of uninstall command lines across additional package types, including IntuneWin and PSADT, bringing them in line with existing support for MSI and EXE packages. At the same time, detection rules identified during smoke testing are now applied more consistently, reducing the need for manual configuration and ensuring that packages are better prepared for deployment.

In addition, simplifying virtual machine onboarding by removing unnecessary prerequisites reduces the effort required to set up and manage packaging environments, allowing teams to focus more on delivery rather than setup.

What App Readiness 6.0 Means for Your Team

App Readiness 6.0 is ultimately about reducing manual friction across the entire packaging lifecycle. It simplifies how users interact with the product, expands what can be automated, and strengthens the consistency of packaging outcomes.

This release represents a major step forward, not just in how App Readiness looks, but in how effectively it enables teams to operate at scale. With a simplified experience, stronger automation, and more robust packaging, App Readiness 6.0 helps you move faster, standardize more, and handle growing application demands with confidence.
