We are excited to introduce you to the latest version of Dashworks, 5.2! This release was focussed on improving the user reporting experience and building out some Evergreen project management features to support the Windows 10, Office 365, BAU application and hardware refresh activities managed perpetually within large organisations. As always, it is thanks to the insightful feedback provided by our customers that has helped drive product innovation and make the drive towards IT transformation and Evergreen IT management a possibility with Juriba Dashworks!
If you want to find out more about the latest enhancements in Dashworks 5.2, the details are below:
Advanced Reporting Filters & Project Filters (Single & Multi-Project)
Advanced filters and project filters are one of the great improvements included in Dashworks 5.2. By using them, IT project managers and workstream leads can quickly build their own reports on what is in scope, filter on specific project criteria and save smart lists for future use. For example, a list of in-scope assets with a readiness of RED, are being replaced, and are in location A.
You can also build reports containing information from every project in a single page. This flexibility means that you can truly visualize everything that is going on in both your current state (BAU) and target state (Project) worlds.
Advanced filters have been enhanced to include more application data. You can filter by application properties or source and use these to create applications lists, which leads us to our next major update, static lists and list management.
Static Lists And List Management
Dashworks 5.2 has also been enhanced with the Windows 10 Servicing Model in mind. It includes all the baseline information you need to determine who, what, where and when for each Windows 10 release version. Once you identify the users, devices and applications in scope, you can quickly create smart or an alternative static list based on this information. Smart lists update dynamically, whilst static lists contain user-defined lists of assets. These lists are the cornerstone of Evergreen IT management, and we are building out functionality in the next releases to automatically in-scope assets from these lists into their default asset groups within the Project System to help further industrialize the Evergreen IT process.
A major addition is that when you are happy with your smart or static list you can now share it with other Dashworks users, edit it using more granular options or even add it to your favourites so that you can find it quickly the next time you need it.
Enhanced Grid Control
We have changed the grid control in Dashworks to facilitate much faster and efficient data manipulation. This new element essentially hosts virtual pages, so, regardless of how many objects you are viewing, or how long your list is, there will be no clicking through separate pages of information. The new control also enables you to search the entire grid for specific information, getting you to the data you need in record time.
Increased Accessibility
With this release, we wanted to make Dashworks even more flexible therefore we have added a few helpful accessibility options. The updated profile settings include different settings and display modes, such as high contrast view for color blind or partially blind users, 200% zoom view, screen reader compatibility and keyboard use.
Additional Improvements
In addition to the previously discussed major enhancements, there are some other improvements that have been made to Dashworks in release 5.2 that IT transformation managers should be aware of. Among the highlights:
